The book for the 51st and final bench of the Books about Town project has been decided.

After weeks of voting, fans chose Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman to be immortalised as a bench.

Readers on guardian.co.uk voted the fantasy novel to be the theme of the last BookBench to be included in the project which has turned London into a literary playground since the launch on the 2nd July.

The bench will be installed at the end of August and will be designed by a special artist. Keep an eye on guardian.co.uk and follow @booksabouttown on Twitter for the latest news on this exciting bench.
